Isabella Plantation, Richmond Park, Surrey, UK. 3rd May 2014. A bee gathers pollen from an azalea flower in Isabella Plantation an ornamental woodland garden, full of exotic plants. From late April into early May there is a magnificent display of azaleas and rhododendrons. The flowers of this deciduous shrub are in a range of vibrant colours. The Plantation is free to enter and is only six miles from central London.
Photography has always been part of my life. My Dad always had a large collection of cameras around the house, he processed his own film and taking photos was the norm. My first camera was a Zenit SLR bought for my 12th birthday. At 18 I passed an A level in photography. My interest in photography started to become a more serious hobby around 2001 and I put on the first of two exhibitions at my local library. The positive feedback and sales of prints encouraged me to take my hobby to a higher level and I subsequently purchased my first digital camera and began taking photos more frequently. My main passion is for landscape photography but I also enjoy capturing images of modern architecture and the detail of close up...
