Old Simm's Copse near Effingham in the Surrey Hills, England, UK. 17th April 2016. The bluebells are in full bloom creating a fragrant carpet of blue in the Surrey Hills near Effingham. The traditional English bluebells cover an area of about 1 square kilometer in ancient woodland known as Old Simm's Copse.
About Julia Gavin
Photography has always been part of my life. My Dad always had a large collection of cameras around the house, he processed his own film and taking photos was the norm. My first camera was a Zenit SLR bought for my 12th birthday. At 18 I passed an A level in photography. My interest in photography started to become a more serious hobby around 2001 and I put on the first of two exhibitions at my local library. The positive feedback and sales of prints encouraged me to take my hobby to a higher level and I subsequently purchased my first digital camera and began taking photos more frequently. My main passion is for landscape photography but I also enjoy capturing images of modern architecture and the detail of close up...
